List of 25 Things About Me

The List of 25 Things to Prove That This Blog is Mine As Inspired by Umair and Nailah

1. I'm making this list
2. My 2005 summer dress for weddings is green/aqua/looks like a patch of algae growing in the ocean from a far distance
3. I mentioned Umair and Nailah
4. I attemped to learn tennis two weeks ago
5. I attemped to learn some Indian dances last week, but ended up chasing Umair with a table tennis racket to hit him with as he imitated my tennis playing style. I'm also sure he was laughing at my dancing.
6. I'm always 30 mintues late for everything
7. My metropass is my best friend
8. I mooch off rides as much as possible, testing the boundaries of friendship
9. I know David Lee who conviently lives in B.C and is never in Toronto
10. I attract very strange guys who can't take "no" as an answer
11. I like food. I also like to eat.
12. I also like the word "free"
13. The words "Free food of a high quality and taste that I don't have to cook" is one of the most beautiful combination of words in English
14. Unlike Umair, I tell the truth
15. I'm a proud nerd
16. Nailah and I are nerds together as most of our gossip happens during out study breaks
17. Favorite colour is blue and red... and orange... and other colours...
18. I'm 160 cm and I kick out 6 foot tall guys out of school as part of the UTSC Patrol team
19. Beaches is one of my favorite places to go
20. I have a driver's liscense, but no car
21. My laptop is named Bartimus
22. I tried to name Umair's laptop Marlow after Marlow from "Heart of Darkness", but he kept on saying it was a horrible name
23. I misplaced my cell phone and I need numbers to add to my Palm
24. I hate Brain and Behaviour... mostly the textbook
25. For Christmas, I would like a digital camera, mostly to stop the strange looks I get when I tell people that I don't have a digital camera. I think the combination of being Asain and the lack of a digital camera causes the looks.

Music in Background: Something by John Mayer. Thanks to Tim, I got addicted to John Mayer and am busily downloading his songs, along with the new Coldplay album.

Just for Umair Khan, I'm updating my blog for his amusement. It's a few hours late, but meh.

Went back to my old high school for the first time in... two years? It was so odd. Nothing seems to change at MAC. The halls still have ketchup smeared on the floors, and the Tech Hall still has that funky smell. The desks are still the same with the same initials on them (For the past 40 years... no joke.) The lockers are still a violent violet that SAC decided to paint when I was in grade 11. But my grad picture is still there, the informal grad class 2003 pic... and MAC decided to sign its soul for Pepsi to advertise there. Instead of the Coke machines, there are Pepsi machines with built in "Recycling" boxes.

And a lot of teachers are just the same. I couldn't find Dr. B. who crammed three years of math into my head which I don't remember anymore, and didn't bump into Mr. Wong (Thank God... everytime I think of him, I think "fuck-tose"). I ran into my grade 12 English teacher and she was happy when she found out that I was doing a minor in English.

I forgotten all those little high school things that I used to do and they all came back. The yearbook signing in June every year, eating outside when the weather was good, the P.A. announcements at the end of the day, and just hanging out. I'm not sure if I miss high school, since I realized its so... regulated and hot in the summer.

Okay Umair, the blog was late, but I don't write on demand. At least this one was super long. And more importantly, it mentions you! (Don't you feel special and loved) And we're going to play tennis on Wednesday, right?

Music: Da Da DaDa by Broken Social Scene
Feeling: Tanned

I love the beach. The water was so cold at Woodbine that it hurts like hell once you step in and you go numb after 20 seconds after the shooting pain. The sand was hot, the sun was great and my 45 SPF sunblock didn't stop my from getting tanlines and burnt cheeks.

Next time, I bring the umbrella.

Music: Nothing since I'm in the living room and my dad is watching a documentary on North Korea on the Biography Channel

I got even more tanned by waiting at the bus stops around Toronto. I also have a sunglasses tanline on my face.

So I'm wearing sunscreen on my face everyday. I break out, sweat a lot and I'm all shiny, but the good thing about it is that I smell like coconuts thanks to my sunscreen. But isn't sunscreen supposed to smell like sunscreen?? I'm worried that it won't work because it smells like coconuts.

Music in background: The Amelie soundtrack
Feeling: Stuffed from chicken wings

I came back from Montreal and I love that city. The food is great, the drinks are cheap and plentiful, the guys speak in French accents and walkers rule the city streets as drivers will stop for them. There are actual bike lanes and McGill is a wonderful campus.

Must go back.
