Music: Waiting for a jazz song to finish loading... something by Matt Dusk
Feeling: A lot better
After working everyday, I finally get to relax.
So of course, I catch a cold at the first party. I can barely talk, but my voice is starting to come back. Maybe it was the whipped cream fight, who knows for sure? Maybe the cold was a mixed blessing since I for 2 days on and off. I should have caught up with all the sleepless nights of studying.
Anywoo, today was my debut back into the world at my cousin's traditional family dinner which was a bit different with all my nephews and nieces running around/smashing their heads against chairs and screaming at the top of their lungs until they got what they wanted. (Hunter picked up the trick at daycare and Namoi is a quick learner, let me tell you) This is where I mention that I love my cousins. I got enough money to start my dvd collection for the new dvd player that James got on Boxing day while I was wokring at Bata where the line up went around the store. Can we say LOTR box set?
Well I hope everyone's holidays were loads of fun :) Now that I'm a lot better (I can talk now) I want to go sledding. Who wants to go sledding?!

Music: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, the classical version
Feeling: Stuffed, yet a craving for instant oatmeal has come up...
Merry Christmas! And a Happy New Year!
Have yourself, a merry little Christmas, may all your dreams come true...

Yay!
Music: Something called Celtic Harp Solo, but it's just a harp plucking out the sounds of "Noel"
Feeling: YAY!
Today's theme will be "Yay!", celebrating all things "Yay!" past and present
10. Got a new cell phone! By now, you should have the happy news e-mailed to you along with the new number. If you haven't just drop me an e-mail and I'll give it to you
9. My lead pencil broke on my last exam, about 1/4th of the way. I was silently freaking out as I refilled it and was clicking the pencil like mad. I then remembered that I stuffed a regular pencil in my pencil case that morning since I realized that I hadn't been carrying one for the exams. Luckily I decided that I might throw one in just in case.
8. Not working Christmas Eve.
7. My jobs at Bata and Toys, Toys, Toys will be gone by the 1st week of Janurary and I have an interview lined up at Sunnybrook's Research Centre. Muhahaha. I'm going to retire from the retail sector soon hopefully.
6. I didn't do that badly on PSYB01
And skipping straight ot number 1
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, the 6th book release date has just been announced.

Now for no grumpy customers or manager and happy co-workers

Music: None
Feeling: Cold
Everything that's metal and near a door is frosted over. My windows are frosted, my mail slot in the door has ice over it, all the locks on the doors also have ice.
It's cold. Cara and the BF came by (Sorry! No idea how to spell your name, but you don't know how to spell mine probably... so we're even) Had hot chocolate, got present and threw oranges at each other. I think my younger brother was happy to leave the house when a friend called.
Anywoo, just to annonce to the world, I will have a cell phone by Monday! This should make people happy

Music: Something from Boy George and the Culture Club, I can't remember what it's called
Feeling: Almost done exams!
Point1: I hate exams, but mostly stats. (22 mark question!)
Point 2: I don't want to study
Point 3: I need a shopping buddy that knows about electronics and media stuff to look for laptops and DVD players.
Point 4: I also need a shopping buddy that hasn't finished their Christmas shopping and is ready to panic. The Christmas shopping not only includes gifts, but Christmas decorations and possibly New Year stuff, I'll see if I can get my parents to agree to a New Year's party. And it can't be the following people. Suzie, Wendy, James, Heather or Tim Lee. Umair and Naliah, I'm looking at you. (AND I know Umair reads this crap that I put on the internet, so you're coming along, but don't bother giving me advice since I KNOW that you bullshit all the time, including about bursaries to that poor Jeff)
I will have interesting stories later after exams. Right now, I'm going to something more fun! *Heads over to read textbooks and to go over notes
Almost over. At least I have a day off to study. 3 exams in a row is a little stressful and not good for my nose. I'm still sick from the snowball fight and my nose hasn't stopped running since.

Music: None, except what i hope is the loud clacking of the keyboard
Feeling: Read the rant below
My parents are not letting me have the car at all. In fact, all of a sudden, I'm not allowed to drive. ARGH.
I think they're having trouble letting go in all aspects of my life. (They still try to manage my money) In fact, I think I'll get a cell phone on the sly and just not tell my parents that I have one so that they won't phone me at 6:00 pm asking where the hell I am, and why can't I be like their friend's kids who stay at home and study and who are home before dark? Who is also sleeping by 10:00? (Then my mom also adds that they don't drink coffee, whereas I drink it like a fish with water. Let me point out that I only have a medium cup/day, which is not a lot)
Answer 1: Their friend's kid is boring as hell and has no social life beyond school. In fact, I think most of them never had a job yet and I'm working 3 right now.
Asnwer 2: The said kid is most likely lying to their parents about studying, but having fun at some wild party getting drunk
Answer 3: In fact, the said dependent IS lying since a student doesn't have normal hours at all. (This is why the libraries are open unti midnight and that's on normal school days.) Who the hell goes to sleep before midnight?! I bet that that said dependent is sneaking out of the house
Answer 4: WHY DO I HAVE TO BE LIKE THE SAID DEPENDENT?! (Who is assumed to be the norm) Look at all the bloody cars in the mutiple parking lots at school at 1:00 in the morning that are almost full! Look at the many cars driving in at 1:00 in the morning! They are all students! Guess who is the norm?! The bloody school is packed with students studying! There are no such things as 9:00 am-4:00 pm days. (This is where I mention that my mom seriously thought that the university classes ended at 4 and that they school sent out report cards to the parents at the end of each term. Did I ever have to explain that... and she didn't understand that the school body is made out of what is considered adults, etc, etc. Apprently the entire system is wrong)
Answer 5: I'm involved with school. On some very important committees where I'm elected to boards where we are in charge of a $15 000 budget that will be increasing hopefully and where we have the power to fire elected co-ordinators. Of couse I'm not home and need advance notice of family parties. I can't drop everything to translate phone calls and bills at this moment since I need to get to an important meeting that I'm already late for. How about rearranging for another day this week? Why isn't that good enough?! Why does it have to be at that very bloody moment?!
My parents were at first very supportive of getting my G2 (Kind of... but that's another story) Then came the "YOu can't drive until you get insurance" Okay, reasonable. But then when I ask for the insurance policy number and the number to phone th company, my parents refuse to give it to me. Then comes the "Bloody no way"s And then come the "No driving b/c it's winter. No driving b/c it's night. No driivng b/c there's crazy people out there." Where does it stop?!
So comes plan B. Okay, parentals not being good about this and who don't believe that I'm actually busy, then fine. I'll call them up at 1:00 am or later everyday. I'll let them see how it feels to be a student since they never had a chance to be one. (They keep on reminding me of this) They have to get sick of that.
No. My dad said he would rather pick me up. But of course, once he does, I can't drive the car at night Apprently I'm a bad driver. Let me point out that my dad had to take his road test 6 times before he passed it. And gets into accidents because he drives to slow. (I remember the days of "Eunice! You're going 20 km/hr! That's to fast!" after 1 year of finshing up my driver course)
Which is course blew into a huge arguement about why I can't have a little bit more independence, and explaining why I'm not like Lynn, or Mona, or whoever is the ideal Korean child is at the moment. (Apprently there's no such thing as the ideal Chinese child or some other race Seems that Koreans are perfect and I'm not. Except for someone named James Park who ran away once to a friend's place for a few days, but his mistake was going to a Korean friend's place and the gossip was more rampant then me on caffine. I don't blame him, he is ruled over by his Nazi sisters and mom who I tell to let him take a break) Which my dad trys to end with a "Because I said so because I'm the head of this family and a male" (Roughly translated from Korean) Which starts it all over again about the lack of explainations for anything and the lack of advance notice for any family function and how I don't have time. But then I add in stuff about feminism and equality. (Which goes over everyone's heads)
God, that was long. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the wine from the Christmas party. I'm just very frustrated about my parents. And lack of letting go. Honestly. I bet if I ever got my way and lived on rez my mom try to live with me. (She would somehow break into the apartment and never leave I bet) There's someone on rez like that. The mom just lived with her son in Foley. Needless to say, his housemates weren't home a lot.
I think I'm going to ask for cash that will go towards owning my own car for Christmas.

Snow
Music: Baby, It's Cold Outside
Feeling: It is really cold outside and I can't leave home unless I'm willing to freeze
It's snowing!
Let it snow, let snow, let it snow, because it's feeling a lot like Christmas.
Okay, I'm stopping with the whole Christmas songs. I listen to them all day at work, give me a break.
The snow is pretty, but then I remember that I won't be able to drive because it's snowing. And then I'n distracted because I watch the snow instead of reading my books.
